Happy Easter!

As you can probably tell from the pictures and my recent posts, we had a great Easter!

We spent Easter Sunday with my family. We started our morning off at church with my parents, listening to my Dad give a great talk. Addie looked so cute in her new little Easter Dress! We then spent the afternoon at my parents house playing with Addie, going on an Easter Egg Hunt, eating a yummy dinner and playing games. Addie loves all the attention! It was so fun to have the entire family together.

We finished the night off with a visit to Gaga where Addie burned off the rest of her energy and wore Gaga out (we were already worn out by then)!

Hope you all had a Happy Easter!

Easter Morning

Addie really liked the idea of Easter Bunny but whenever we saw one in real life she wouldn't go anywhere near it. On Saturday night, we told her that if she went to sleep quick that the Easter Bunny might bring her a basket of goodies. She then told us that it was a "little easter bunny, not a big one."

The Easter Bunny was good to Addie. She got a lot of fun things to do now that the weather is getting warmer! Some sidewalk chalk, bubbles, playdoh toys, stickers, bubble bath, a few little trinkets, fruit snacks and a kite. The second she saw her kite, she wanted to go out and fly it.

One of the trinkets in her basket was a bunny slinky. Here is a video Clay took when she was examining her basket. Obviously, she was thrilled with the bubble bath (should have gone with the Curious George or Elmo ones). I just love how matter of factly she was telling me it was a spring.

Dyeing Easter Eggs

On Saturday night, we colored some hard boiled eggs. Addie loves to crack and peel them right now. Luckily, she likes to eat them too!

Bennett came over to help out. They both loved putting the eggs into the cups and getting them out but gave up using the little egg dipper and used their hands.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, we went to our ward easter egg hunt and breakfast. Addie had a great time finding eggs to put in her little basket.

It was pretty chilly outside, so once the egg hunt was over, she was ready to go home and get warm!

Once we were home, I was trying to get a picture of her with her eggs and she kept saying, "No cheese, MOM! No CHEESE!" She didn't want me to take any more pictures!

She quickly opened up all her eggs (thank goodness there were only 4) and promptly ate about half her candy!

Moab

Last weekend we headed down to Moab for the Canyonlands Half Marathon. We left a day earlier than normal so we could spend a whole day there before the race. The drive down went pretty fast. We saw herds of deer as we drove through Spanish Fork Canyon! We stayed in a condo with my Aunt, Uncle and cousins. Addie was so excited to have some other kids to play with and so were we! The weather wasn't as warm as last year but it ended up being pretty nice.

On Friday, we had a relaxing morning, then we hiked up to Delicate Arch! Probably not the best thing for a couple of runners the day before a race but it was very pretty. Clay carried Addie in a backpack on the way up and then on his shoulders and she walked a little on the way down.

Saturday was the race. It was nice because it didn't start until 10 so the runners didn't have to wake up early! Addie and I went with my aunt and cousins to the finish and then met up with Gaga and some of Clay's siblings there. He finished the race in 2 hrs. 3 min. so it was better than he expected. Good job Clay! We are proud of you!

Clay's aunt has a few animals on her land and there were a bunch of little baby lambs. Addie loved going to see them and trying to feed them!

We went to visit Clay's grandma on Sunday before heading out and then grabbed some quick lunch at Wendy's. While we were eating lunch, Addie sat down in her seat and grabbed her kids meal bag and started looking at the stuff on it! Since I remember loving to do that as a kid, it made her feel too grown up to me! She's still way too little to be interested in what is on the sides of things! It was cute though.

It was a fun trip and we had a great time! It is always nice to be home though!

Flast Off!

Last night, Addie had fun doing "Flast Off" with Dad! Sorry the quality isn't the greatest- it's from our regular camera not the video camera.
