We had a busy week after Christmas. Kolby, Jami, Maddie and Mia were in town so we spent a lot of time hanging out and EATING at Gaga's house! Addie loved having some girl cousins around to play with! We wish they didn't live so far away! Of course, this is the only picture I have!
Will loves music, and when he hears it, he can't help but start dancing. Even in the car he shakes his head and bounces as much as he can while strapped in. Here is a cute video I took one day while we were driving over to Gaga's house.
One afternoon, Addie and I went with Grandma to see Princess and the Frog. She was excited to be there and finished at least 3 or 4 pieces of her licorice before the movie started! She enjoyed the movie and was bouncing and smiling to the music but was a little bit scared by the "mean guy and his ghosts." She spent most of the movie on my lap.
We ended up taking our Christmas decorations down the Sunday after Christmas so that we could have more space for all the new toys. Surprisingly, Will enjoys sitting and playing at the little table as much or more than Addie! He also loves to make a big mess with the LEGOS!
New Year's Eve was not a great night for us. We went to the store earlier in the day to get some treats for that night. Will loved riding in the car part with Addie. He's getting so big now.
After a late nap for Will, we headed to Grandpa & Grandma's house. We had some pizza and had fun playing Super Mario Bros. with Carson and Rachelle. We tried to put Will down for bed there and he was having none of it. Finally, at 11:30, after an hour and a half of no sleep, we packed up the kids and headed home. Clay spent the final hours of 2009 putting Addie to bed and I spent the final hours of 2009 putting Will to bed! Exciting!! Next year we are staying home and putting our kids to BED!
Can't believe 2009 is over...it went by so fast! We are hoping for a fantastic 2010!!
Of course, on the five minute drive from my parents to Gaga's house, Will fell asleep in the car. I sat out in the car with him for about 30 min. until he woke up so he could get some kind of nap.
After some hanging out and eating, the kids were dying to open presents. Addie got one of her favorite presents of the day from Gaga and Grandpa Rex- a princess rolling backpack!
Will enjoyed playing with his new toys and with Aidan's while the older kids had fun playing with the magnet sets Gaga & Grandpa Rex gave them.
It was a fun day and full of lots of presents, excitement, happiness and joy. It's too bad it all happens so quickly!
We came home with two happy but VERY tired kids. Will took a short nap while we tried to sort through the aftermath of it all! Addie enjoyed some quiet time watching a new movie and coloring at her new little table. Then, we put the kids to bed and Clay and I enjoyed a quiet, yummy, steak and shrimp dinner!!!
Once we finished up Christmas morning at our house, we packed up and headed over to my parents house to spend some time with my family.
We opened some presents and the kids played with their new stuff. They gave Will his most played with toy of the day- a little truck (I think he liked the handle and the sounds it made). The kids were spoiled by everyone this year! They have such good aunts, uncles and grandparents!
After a few hours at their house and an unsuccessful attempt at a nap for Will, we packed up and headed over to Gaga's house for Christmas with Clay's family!
Christmas Day was a fun day at our house! The kids woke up about 7:30 and we came downstairs to see if Santa came! And boy did he come!
Addie was so excited about Christmas this year. She was dying to open the few presents we had under the tree (we didn't put ours under until Christmas Eve- too much temptation). When she came down Christmas morning, she didn't notice ANYTHING except for the presents under the tree. She walked right past the table & chairs Santa brought! She was great fun on Christmas morning- so excited about everything and so cute.
Will came down, noticed the table and chairs right away and then went straight over to his stocking where he found a Mickey Mouse book and immediately pulled it down and started looking at it!
Once they had surveyed the scene, we looked through our stockings to see what Santa brought.

Then the gift opening began! Addie wanted to open the presents at their little table and chairs. She was kind enough to help Will open his presents.

Once we finished up opening our presents here at home, we packed up and started our rounds to the grandparents houses!
Santa decided to bring Clay's Christmas present a week early! He found a deal that was just too good to pass up! Santa brought him a new TV and it came with a Blu-ray DVD Player too!
He's been wanting a flat screen LCD TV for awhile and he has almost purchased it a few times. Well, now he finally has it!
He had to have our friend, Pete, come over and help him take the old monster TV out and then he helped him set up the new one. Of course, Addie had to get in on the action because it involved tools!
She also had a great time hammering our finishing nails into the styrofoam! It kept her busy for hours over the course of a few days!
It's been fun to have a bigger TV and the picture is awesome (Clay gets so excited about it-even when it's just the green preview screen)! Thanks Santa!! Merry Christmas Clay!
We have continued the tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve. Every year, that particular present has a new ornament attached to it. This year, in honor of our fun trip to Disneyland, we got Disney ornaments!
Of course, the one present that everyone opens is new jammies to wear to bed that night and on Christmas Day (since we don't usually change out of them till later that day, if at all)!
It had been a long day but Addie was so thrilled to be able to open a present (although, it wasn't the one she had in mind)! Will even got into the unwrapping! He was loving the Mickey Mouse ornament!

Addie left some OREOS and milk (just plain milk- though, she had wanted to leave chocolate milk till Daddy told her that Santa just likes white milk) out for Santa and then the kids headed up to bed so he could come!
