Leg Lamp Lighting

Now that Thanksgiving is over, it's time for the next holiday....CHRISTMAS!  Yay!

We started with the tree on Friday....

Our elf, Chimnick, came back from the North Pole on Saturday morning...

and Christmas would not be complete at the Blackham house without the leg lamp...

This year, Clay decided to go all out and had a leg lamp "lighting" party.  He spent most of the afternoon making his famous homemade donuts for it!  We invited neighbors, friends, family...whoever wanted to come and had donuts and hot chocolate in the garage before we "lit" the lamp.

It was a fun time! There wasn't much left when it was done!

Thanksgiving

We started Thanksgiving Day off with the Cottonwood Heights "Beat the Mayor 5K".  It was a bit on the cold side this year.  We bundled the kids up and Clay pushed them in the jogging stroller and we kept Sam in his carseat and I pushed him in the regular stroller.

Clay was just going to walk it- but he ended up doing some running when he was feeling good and I kind of hung around at the finish with my mom to get pictures of everyone coming in.

After the race, we came home and turned on the parade while we started getting things ready for Thanksgiving dinner.  We decided to host the Blackham side here at our house.   Clay smoked a turkey (that he'd been prepping/brining for a couple of days) using his new smoker.   All the food was so delicious!!!

After dinner, we had a great time playing games!

Happy Thanksgiving from my three little turkeys!

Sam- 5 months

Sam turned 5 months old in November.  Time is going by too fast!!!!   We just keep growing more and more in love with him with each passing day!!!

It was kind of a big month for him! He is getting really comfortable at being on his tummy and really starting to lift his chest off the ground.  I'm sure crawling is not too far around the corner.   He is also getting pretty good at getting the binkie back in his mouth....yay! He is pretty good at pulling it out too.  Not so yay!

He loves sucking on his fingers, the drawstrings on my hoodies, and he especially likes to try and get Will's blanket and dog!  Much to Will's dismay!

The weather was warm enough that he could sit on the grass and touch and feel it.  He wasn't quite sure about it but he wasn't crying either! He was just trying to pick it.

He started putting his arm over his eyes while drinking his bottles and then falls asleep like that! Silly boy!

He also started getting attached to the bebe's!!!  Yay! He likes to hold it in his hands and put it by his face while he goes to sleep.

We finally got the exersaucer out for him.  He loves it.   So does big brother!

Loves being with his big sis and big bro!

Poor kid was so tired.  Grandpa had the magic touch that night.  He passed out.

Just love his cute little face!!!  He is such a happy baby.

One day he rolled across the blanket and I found him stuck next to the coffee table.  He couldn't figure out how to move so he just started eating it!

He's starting to learn to sit on his own!  He can sit unassisted (and balanced on his hands) for a few seconds or more!

Decided to finally start feeding him some baby food!  Started with oatmeal and he wasn't a big fan of it!!!

Love this picture cause it shows he does actually have a little chub on him! This angle makes them look chubbier than they really are but it's the chubbiest any of my kids have ever been!

Had to include a few outtakes from the 5 month photo shoot....enough already mom!!
