Best Buddies

I have really enjoyed seeing my kids be such good buddies.

Addie loves Will (most of the time) and most of the time acts like a mother to him. She loves to hold him and take care of him for me. She is such a good big sister and is so loving and sweet with him. She loves to have him sit with her on the couch or the bed and often gets mad if I don't let him.

Will absolutely adores Addie. He LOVES to watch her. I think he gets bored when it's just me and him- I guess I'm not as entertaining as Addie. Whenever they are sitting next to each other, he just turns his head and looks at her! It's so cute. He gets a big smile on his face as soon as he sees her.

(Yes, they are binkie buddies too. Not for long- the binkie fairy is coming for Addie's binkies VERY soon.)

Poop Fish

The other morning, Will had a really bad diaper blow-out. I laid him on the change table to take his clothes off and change him.

When Addie woke up, I told her about it and she wanted to see what a mess it had made since I hadn't cleaned it up yet. She took one look at it and said, "It's a poop fish!"

It really does look like a fish!

Tumbling!

We enrolled Addie in a tumbling class at the local rec center. We thought it would be a good way to get some energy out and maybe she'd learn something.

Last week was her first week and she did really well- it's a little chaotic with one teacher and seven 3-5 year olds. She learned how to do a sit up and started learning how to do arches, back bends and head stands. They also practiced somersaults (or forward rolls).

Here is a video we put together from her class.

This week did not go as well- I think she's a little afraid of the teacher. It took a lot of coaxing from both Clay and I and help from me before she finally started participating on her own. Hopefully next week will be better!

Once there was a Snowman

After a recent snowstorm, Grandma came over to play out in the snow with Addie. She brought her cute snowman accessories with her so they could build a snowman. Unfortunately, the snow wouldn't stay packed so they had to build a small snowman! It turned out cute though.

The temperature wasn't too bad so I bundled Will up and took him out for a few minutes. He didn't enjoy the colder air!

He was all smiles once we came back in!
