I can't believe that Will is 11 months old now! It has flown by! He is still the cutest little boy alive and we love him to death. He is just getting sweeter and sweeter and he has us all wrapped around his little fingers! How can you not love that face! Some of his favorite things:
Reading books
Yogurt Melts and Little Crunchies Going for walks and being outside
Playing the piano
Watching Dora, Diego or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Pretzels
Swedish Pancakes
Playing with Addie
Getting into cupboards, pulling stuff out Trying to climb the stairs
Banging on the windows (or playing with the blinds if they are down!)
Since my last update, we have completely weaned him from the hypoallergenic formula and have already moved on to the generic version with little problem. We are so happy to finally be done with it! We have quickly worked through most baby food and started introducing more and more regular foods to his diet. Of course, now that he's tasting the good stuff, he's been refusing to be fed baby food. So far he eats a better variety of foods than Addie eats now at age 3! He was weighed a few weeks ago and was at 17 lbs. 12 oz. so hopefully he will start gaining some more weight now!
Our big news this month is that Will has started taking some steps on his own. Most of the time its just 1-3 steps at a time but he has taken as many as 5 or 6 in a row. We still haven't been able to catch it on video unfortunately.
He is now really fast at steering and pushing his walker or his little ride on car. Here is a video of when I made the mistake of taking his little car outside! This was after I'd already been up and down the street a million times with him.
As you can see from the above video, he still loves to push things around. Anything that will move is game. His favorite non-walking toy to push around is our Fisher Price cash register. He will push it up and down the hall, around the island, into the living area and back around OVER and OVER. Here he is, doing just that.
He is also saying a few words (in his own way of course). One day, Addie was gone with Clay and I was playing with Will. I said to him, "Where's Addie?" He looked around then started saying "A-da" in a higher voice. He did it like four more times that night. I keep trying for a repeat on video but of course, they don't perform when you really want! He can do a few animal sounds, monkey, duck, cow and dog. Since he loves Dora, he says "D,D,Dor" when he sees anything with her on it. He also says Peek-a-boo on occasion- and is something like "picboo". Very cute.
His little crusty face is becoming quite common and is usually an indication that he's not happy with something. Good thing it's still pretty cute.
