Halloween Fun
We had many opportunities to celebrate Halloween this year and to get LOTS of candy! Here are my little munchkins all dressed up. Addie was Snow White (along with about a million other little girls!) and Will was a Monkey!

After school on Thursday, the kids and I went up to the capitol building for the Governor's Staff Halloween party with Gaga (and Grandpa Rex). We had lunch, the kids got to meet Governor Herbert and get some prizes from him, went on a little parade around the capitol building, took a big group picture out on the steps and then started the trick or treating! There sure are a lot of offices and cubicles in there! Addie got a TON of candy. Will was happy just eating a sucker while we walked around even though it was past his nap. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera in the car. They did snap one good picture of the kids and Gaga at her desk!
On Friday, we had some Halloween fun with some of our friends in the morning then after Will's nap, we headed over to the CH City Hall with Grandpa and Grandma. We got MORE candy and did a few crafts!
After our fun with Grandpa and Grandma, we headed to the ward party for trunk-or-treating and chili! We got more CANDY and had lots of fun with our friends.
Unfortunately, Will fell while walking around and hit a metal folding chair. He ended up with a bloody nose, bloody mouth and a giant fat lip! Poor kid. Once he'd settled down and saw all the fun the kids were having- he wanted to join in.
Here is the haul as of FRIDAY night. That's right- that's BEFORE Halloween and before trick-or-treating!! CRAZY!!!

Pumpkin Patch
Last Thursday we took the kids to the pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins. It's usually a pretty fun time for us all. The kids had a fun time riding around in the wheelbarrow and Addie enjoyed helping us all find our perfect pumpkin.

Last night we carved our pumpkins! Addie didn't want to even try and touch the pumpkin guts- she thought they looked really gross. So, pretty much Clay carved the pumpkins. :) They turned out pretty cool though!

Cascade Springs
Last Sunday, we decided to drive up the Alpine Loop to see the leaves and beautiful mountains. It was a pretty drive and an unusually warm day but most of the beautiful color was near the bottom of the canyon- not at the top. I think we were about a week too late this year.
We ended up at Cascade Springs so we got out and walked around a bit with the kids. Addie liked looking at the signs and telling us what they said. Will loved the water and just wanted to sit on the path and try to touch it.
