Three Months!
Will just turned three months old. He has changed quite a bit in the last month or so. He's getting bigger and bigger- now weighing in at almost 12 lbs.
He is such a sweet little boy. He gives the biggest grins and smiles and you just can't help but love him!
He is off and on with the sleeping at night- some nights we get 7 or more hours and other nights, he's up every 3-4 hours. I guess we'll take it when we can get it. He is still napping most naps in my arms since it's the best way to keep him well rested. He is sleeping in his crib at night and we are working on establishing a routine and getting him to bed a little earlier at night!
He does not like to put any weight on his legs but when he's laying down on his back, he loves to scoot around and push off the floor with his feet!
He is starting to show a little interest in toys and will hold on to some small rings and things for a little bit here and there. He has started opening up his hands more and LOVES to chew, suck and chomp on his fingers. Usually it's his pointer and middle finger but he can often be found trying to get all 5 fingers in his mouth.
He loves to be where all the action is- so pretty much wherever Addie is! He loves the TV already- whenever he is anywhere near it, his eyes are glued in that direction.
He loves to talk, blow bubbles, coo, make gurgling/raspberry sounds and he especially loves it when we interact and "talk" back with him. He has also laughed out loud a couple of times.
He has hair! It's really starting to fill in on top!
We love you little buddy! Looking forward to the adventures ahead!

Clay's Birthday!
Clay recently had a birthday! It seems the older you get, the less exciting birthdays are...until your kids start to understand it. Addie is finally to the age where she gets it and is really excited for birthdays.
He had to work on his birthday so we made cupcakes while he was at work. I think Addie ate three before he even got home that night.
She was so excited for him to come home and celebrate with party hats, presents and candles!
We ended the night with a trip to The Downtown Philly for yummy cheese steak sandwiches.
Happy Birthday Babe! We love you!

Swim Lessons!
Clay signed Addie up for swim lessons at the rec center. It's a parent/tot class on Saturday mornings. She is doing pretty good but has a bit of a hard time staying focused on the class instead of doing the fun things at the pool. Hopefully, by the end, she will be able to stick her head under the water willingly!

A Dream Is a Wish
I am working on a couple of catch up posts from the past few weeks but I had to post this while I was thinking about it.
Last night, Addie was sitting on her bed while we were getting ready for bed. I had my back turned to her and she started singing something. When I turned around, she was sitting there, undoing her braids and singing her own rendition of "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" just like Cinderella does in the first part of the movie (see clip below).
It was so cute and I wished I had a camera to capture it!

3 going on 16?
This is a video of Addie talking on the phone to her friend Bennett. This is very typical of what Addie does when she talks on the phone:
1) Walks around the room, house, wherever!
2) Talks about things she sees while she walks around the room like the person on the other end can see them.
3) Doesn't really listen to what the other person has to say!
Now you have something to envision next time you talk to her on the phone!

Mother Addie Videos
Since Will joined the family, we have noticed that Addie is really starting to observe and imitate a lot of what we do. The day after Christmas, I took these videos of her putting her stuffed Curious George to sleep. She's got the techniques we had to employ with getting Will to sleep down to a T! It's a little bit scary but hilarious to watch! Sorry it's a little dark- obviously, it helps to put them to sleep in a dark room. :)
This second video is of her going in to give George his binkie and getting him back to sleep (then coming out to tell us to be quiet)- exactly what we do with Will and exactly what I tell her when she comes to see what I'm doing!

Christmas Day
We finally had to wake Addie at 9:00 on Christmas morning! I went in and laid down by her and then reminded her that it was Christmas and Santa had come! We came downstairs to see what he had left.
Just as we thought, it took forever for us to get her to go through everything in her stocking. She saw the Princess fingernail polish and was happy as a clam! Guess we should have stopped there!
We finally made it through all the trinkets and fun things she had in her stocking and moved on to opening presents. She opened a few presents for her and Will but lost interest (just wanted to play with the presents she had and the stocking stuff) until we got some food in her. Then, she was good to go for a little while again.
About 10:30, we headed out in the snowstorm to go to Grandpa and Grandma's house to open presents. Addie was so excited to find that Santa had left her a giant princess tent there! She got a doll 8 in 1 playset complete with a stroller, highchair, pack n play and change pad. She played with this stuff in her tent (with her stuffed Curious George) while everyone else opened presents.
After hanging out with my family for awhile, we headed over to Gaga's house. There was a wonderful spread of food and Addie was thrilled to be hanging out with "the boys" (her cousins). We finally opened presents there and then the kids disappeared to play and gorge themselves on all the chocolate and candy laying around.
We finally headed home about 4:30 - got our mess cleaned up here, put Addie to bed, Will tried out his Christmas present and Clay and I enjoyed a nice, quiet, yummy dinner together.
It was a great day! Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve
We always enjoy Christmas in this house. It's such a magical and fun time that we look forward to every year. Addie was really starting to get everything this year and was really excited for Santa to come.
Every time we'd ask her what Santa was bringing her, she'd say, "a present". We'd ask what kind and she'd say, "a pink one". We finally got her to say an actual toy instead of just a present. Leading up to Christmas, she told everyone she was getting a change pad for her baby. The night of Christmas Eve, she started telling everyone she was getting a dog house! I don't think Santa was aware of that request- but luckily, she forgot about it by the next morning.
We spent Christmas Eve with my extended family. We had yummy food (lobster tail) and it was fun visiting with the family. We didn't leave to come home till after 10 and on the way home we told Addie to look for Santa's sleigh. She asked if he was at the mall! Then, as we're driving, I kept saying, I think I see Rudolph's nose! All of a sudden, she said, "I see his sleigh! It's over there! I see it!" (mind you, it was totally cloudy and overcast)!

When we got home, we made a plate of milk and cookies for him and then we opened our annual PJ present that Santa's elves left for us. Addie was so excited about it! We finally got our two tired kids to bed, finished wrapping our presents and put them under the tree and then Santa came and filled up the stockings and left a few other goodies.
