Easter Fun

This morning we took Addie to her first official Easter Egg Hunt. We attended the Cottonwood Heights Egg Hunt with Grandpa (Mayor Cullimore). When we arrived, she had her face painted like a little bunny and played on the playground. They also had people dressed like the Easter bunny and she loved to go over and look at them and say, "hi, bunny" or point at them but she wouldn't go close enough for them to touch her.

We didn't think there were too many people when we first arrived but by the time they were ready to start the egg "hunt" there were a lot of kids! They had a special area for the 0-4 year olds. As soon as they turned on the siren to go, it was complete and utter chaos! Parents and kids just running (or being dragged) like a big wave. We decided we better pick Addie up and carry her to the outskirts if she was going to get a chance but everyone was doing that and the eggs were getting snatched up quickly!

We located one egg for her to pickup and then found another one that had been broken open so I hurried and put it back together so she could have two eggs. After it was over (maybe 2 min. MAX), another little girl came over and gave Addie one of her eggs. Addie was thrilled with her loot- she got two packages of crayons and stickers! Couldn't have been better!

It was a fun experience and she looks so darn cute with her little bunny face! Here are some pictures!
