Update

It's been a little while since my last post! We've had a lot going on but just haven't been able to find the time to blog it! Here is an update on some of the things going on around here:

Potty Training
We have just finished week 4 and Addie is still doing great with potty training. We have had two more accidents in the last few weeks but I think that is due to me giving her a chance to tell me she has to go instead of me just taking her. Sometimes she will tell me she has to go but most often I am hearing, "I don't have to go potty" (which usually means she does). She is staying dry for some naps and some nights. We still have a ways to go but I am proud of her for only having three accidents in 4 weeks!

Addie
Addie is now 2.5 going on 14. She is all girl and loves fingernail polish, earrings, jewelry and SHOES! She is very busy and loves to be outside no matter what the temperature is. She is obsessed with dogs and has about 4-5 stuffed animal dogs that she loves to play with. They are like real animals to her. She has two favorites- Lily & Dodger (named after Bennett's dogs) and they pretty much go everywhere with us. Luckily, they are small. She takes them for walks, calls to them, talks to them and even feeds them. She also has a few real dog friends in the neighborhood that she loves to visit, pet, hold and take for walks. Thank goodness they (and their owners) are tolerant of her dragging them around all the time.



She loves being with her friends and around other people. Many times I find her out on the porch saying hi or talking to people passing by. She is enjoying nursery and loves to sing Primary songs. A few of her favorites to which she knows all the words are, "I am a Child of God", "Families are Forever", "I Love to See the Temple", "My Heavenly Father Loves Me" and "Give said the Little Stream". She is a good (ok- most of the time), happy and fun little girl who has great excitement for all things (big or small) in life. We love experiencing things with her!

Baby #2
Baby #2 is still growing and getting very active. Addie was quite active so I am a little concerned that we are going to have another busy child on our hands! When the Dr. was checking the heartbeat this week, he said there was a lot of movement in there! Should be interesting to see how this baby actually is. Addie is excited about her baby sister and LOVES to read her big sister book. We know she will be a good big sister. I am currently 22 weeks so we are more than half way there! October will be here before we know it!

A Few Activities
We visited Farm Country with Grandpa and Grandma. This is probably one of Addie's favorite places to be. Addie loved showing them all around the farm, riding the horse, going for a wagon ride and feeding the animals. Thanks for coming Grandpa & Grandma! We had fun!







Addie had her first try at finger painting the other day. I was a little unsure of how she would like it- since she generally doesn't like getting dirty but she had a good time and made a few pictures. Clay is very happy to see her enjoying getting messy.



We attended members night at the zoo to get a look at the new carousel. Addie was so excited and couldn't wait. She kept changing her mind about what she wanted to ride on as we waited in line. Luckily, the line moved quickly. We had a fun time at the zoo- it was nice to go in the evening and have Clay with us.





Summer is just beginning and we've got a lot going on! Much more to come!
