On New Year's Eve, Clayton and Brandi surprised everyone and came to spend the weekend with us! So, Saturday we all headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's to spend the afternoon together. The weather was beautiful and they had a bunch of snow in the backyard so we spent some time playing out in the snow!
Clayton and Brandi were nice enough to go out and actually "play" in the snow with Addie. She had a blast! They threw snowballs, made snow angels and built a huge snowman!
Will had not been out in the snow yet so this was his first encounter. He really wanted to go outside but did not enjoy getting all the snow gear on. The poor thing can't walk very well in his snow boots. Once we got out in the snow- he was not impressed!
Luckily, Uncle Carson came out and made him laugh and then he decided it wasn't too bad and before you know it- he was crawling around in it!
As kids, we used to sled down the little hill in the backyard so I thought it would be fun for Addie to try. She'd only been sledding once, a few years back and she didn't like it....but luckily, she didn't remember! Anyway, she had fun going down the little hill here!
Then, Uncle Clayton and Dad decided to make it more interesting and would start her up on top of the kids slide to get a little more momentum! Here are some pictures and a fun video....
After we'd had our fill of fun in the snow, we headed inside to play some Rock Band. Addie loved "singing" and "playing the drums" (she didn't know they weren't really connected). It was really cute to see her getting into it.

Looks like lots of fun. What a great surprise!
That looks like more snow then we had in West Jordan!
So fun! I love the snowman.
