School

Addie has been attending preschool at Oakwood Elementary this year. We have really loved having her there- the environment is great, the teachers are awesome and Addie has just loved it. She is always so happy when it's a school day!

One of the benefits (and yes, sometimes drawbacks) is that we do a co-op so I go in and help in the classroom once a month. While it's hard giving up my three hours of "free" time (usually Will was napping), it was really fun to get to know the kids and teachers in her class and to see what they did each day! This day they went outside to fly their "bird kites" they made.

From what I'm told by the teachers, Addie is quite the social butterfly and everyone usually wants to be by/with Addie. She's got a few boys (Merckx and Cameron) that she has taken to and that have taken to her. On my day in April, we went out to the playground to play where I discovered Addie playing "princess" with the boys (she stands at the top of the slide and yells, "help, help" until one of the boys comes and saves her).



These same two boys, like to share the "loop" on their loop chain with Addie when they walk somewhere outside of the classroom. Apparently, they usually fight over it and the teacher has to make them take turns.

This day, we decided to stop outside the school on our way in and try to take a picture of all the kids...it was quite the task!
