The Frog

While we've been working on getting our yard ready for sprinklers, we have been finding a lot of praying mantis'. We put the first one we found in a jar for a few days and then after not being able to find something for it to eat, we told Addie we needed to let it go.

Clay got it out of the jar and let Addie hold it. When it started moving up her arm, she grabbed it and it stuck it's little legs into her and she was instantly terrified of it even when it was someone else holding it.


Will thought it was pretty cool and kept calling it a frog. He loved to "pet" it.


While he was petting it, it jumped on him and Addie thought it was pretty funny. Here is a little video- I can't decide what is funnier, Addie laughing hysterically (cause it's not on her) or Will calling it a frog.
