March was kind of a quiet month as far as blog-worthy events are concerned!!! Here are some of the things we were up to during March!
Dentist Visit- this was actually the end of February but it is worth putting on here because Will did such an awesome job! He stayed on the chair and opened his mouth big when they asked him too. A huge step forward from last year when I had to hold him in my lap, crying while the dentist looked at his teeth. Both kids came out with a good report! No cavities!
We actually ended up getting quite a few snowstorms in March. I think we got more snow in March than we did all winter! I wasn't complaining about the lack of the snow but the kids really loved going out and playing in it.
Addie finally got a chance to have a "sale" - she sold cups of koolaid to the neighbor kids and made a few $$ (mostly off me and her aunt and uncle) but she was thrilled. I think the two little monkeys in that picture drank about half the pitcher, as you can see from their faces!
Addie's kindergarten class had their first field trip. They took the bus downtown to Discovery Gateway (the Children's Museum). I went separately and took Will along because he LOVES that place. Addie had a fun time and was so excited she got to pack a lunch to take with her and eat while they were gone. She said her favorite part was riding on the bus. :)
In between the snowstorms, we've had some nice weather days and Will has really enjoyed being able to play outside. He's discovered a love for baseball and always wants to play catch or hit the ball. He is so serious when he's playing! We decided to sign up for t-ball this spring and he's really excited to play. Clay is going to be the coach!!! Should be fun!
Addie and I went on a Mommy/Daughter date to see her friend from school in a local play. She loved seeing her friend up on the stage and really wants to be in a play someday.
The kids had a sleepover at Grandma's house while Clay and I went to see The Hunger Games. Will hasn't been too fond of sleeping over at Grandma's house- he's kind of a homebody when it comes to sleeping- so we had to bribe him with cars if he was good. It worked though! The kids had a fun time and everyone actually slept fine once they were asleep. He even said he'd do it again! Thanks for having them Grandma!

On the last day of school before spring break, Addie had to recite a poem at school. She was given the poem Old Mother Hubbard and memorized it very quickly and did a great job reciting it in front of her class and all the parents! Here she is in the best Old Mother Hubbard costume we could come up with.
