Addie and I both came down with a cold and cough and hers turned into an ear infection! It was her first ear infection ever and she was a real trooper. The only reason I took her in was because her cough was getting worse and she had a low fever one night and had woken up a few times the next night. Since we were a little under the weather we stayed around the house most of the time. We've had quite a bit of snow lately and one day she really wanted to go outside. She went down the hall and even put on her own boots and coat!
Addie has figured out that she can climb on the barstool or go get her step stool to see and reach things higher. Whenever I'm doing something in the kitchen, she drags a stool over so she can help me. She loved helping Gaga decorate Daddy's birthday cake!
In the mornings, Addie needs a little time to wake up. She enjoys laying on the couch, drinking her milk and watching a show. Usually, I try to do something else during the time but I just can't resist the call from my baby to "come snuggle me, mom!" She was never very cuddly as a baby so I have to take advantage anytime she actually wants it! Last night, Clay was the happiest dad ever when Addie asked him to snuggle with her!
Addie loves cats (much to my dismay). Luckily, Gaga still has an old cat hanging around the house who is nice enough to put up with being man-handled by Addie (at least for a few minutes). Whenever we go to Gaga's house, we have to look for Cosmo and if he's not hiding, she has to carry him around, read books to him, hold him, etc. Here are some pictures from the other night when she wanted to read a book to him. Notice how she's holding him! Even I feel a little bit bad for him!
As you saw in my time out post, Addie LOVES her stuffed animals and they have been great for her imagination skills! She treats them like her friends! She plays with them, feeds them, talks to them, etc. It's very cute except when she's supposed to be going to sleep! It seems that she has a different favorite on a daily basis although, Donald Duck and her little beanie baby dogs have continued to be her favorites for a couple of weeks now. She's always telling me if they are cold or sad or if they got hurt. I love it when I hear her calling, "come here, boy" and patting her leg to her beanie baby doggie that is a few feet away.

Elise loves to help me cook or bake too. The minute she sees me in the kitchen she drags up her chair and demands to help, whether I need it or not! Sometimes it's a huge pain and I've had to resort to a trick a friend told me, giving her a bowl of water to stir and let her dump whatever she wants into it. It works great!
