Fall Break

Clay decided to take Addie camping with some of his family over fall break this year. She'd never been camping before but she was really excited to go. Will and I stayed home because he was sick and we didn't really want to take him camping. Here is how the weekend played out!

Friday afternoon, they packed up and left to drive to the campsite (about 30 min. outside of Moab). Will was really upset that he didn't get to go in the car with them.

Will took a nap while I planted all our bulbs (over 100 of them!) and then we went down to Provo to meet up with Carson, Rachelle, Cardin and Mitch for dinner. Will was eating up all the attention he was getting (usually he has to share with Addie)! He loved playing football outside in the dark with them too!

Clay and Addie got to camp, set it up and Addie hung out with some of the girls (notice the fabric ties on her flip flops). She loved the campfire and roasting marshmallows. We weren't sure how sleeping would go but Clay said she went right to sleep (after watching a movie on the iPad) and slept great all night!

On Saturday, Will and I went out to lunch with my friend, Kristin, and then while he napped, we spent the afternoon figuring where to put some stuff on the walls!! It was such a lovely afternoon.

Clay and Addie went on a "ride" (he thought it was going to be pretty short- but they ended up going like 45 miles). Addie rode in the RZR with Grandpa Rex and Gaga and Clay drove a motorcycle (there were a bunch of other off road vehicles and motorcycles in the group as well). She thought they were racing! She had a great time though. They all came back covered in red dirt!

Everyone else was camping till Sunday and we weren't sure whether Addie would want to come home Saturday or not- but she was having so much fun she asked Clay if they could stay another night- so they did! They packed up and came home Sunday mid-afternoon.

Will was SO happy to have his dad and sister back and Addie was glad to be home!
