Rest of November

Addie's birthday was the main event of November but it wasn't all we did!!!

We had some beautiful weather so we took advantage and played outside as much as we could...

We took both kids to a BYU football game...it was so warm, we were almost hot in our long sleeve shirts!

Addie and I had a Girl's Night Out with some of our neighbors to Disney on Ice! It was so fun!

Just before Thanksgiving, we got our first real snowfall...the whole street was out the next morning by 9am because the kids were so excited! Addie spent a lot of time out in the snow that week!

Thanksgiving morning some of the family braved the COLD (like 11 degrees!) to do the annual Cottonwood Heights Beat The Mayor 5K. The kids and I waited inside where it was warm while everyone else ran it!

Happy Thanksgiving! We spent Thanksgiving with the Blackham side of the family and had a great holiday with lots of yummy food!

The day after Thanksgiving, Addie and I went to see Tangled with Grandma and Cardin and then we came home and put up our Christmas decorations including an electric train for around the tree and the unveiling of THE LEG LAMP!

We also decided to go ahead and cook a turkey the Sunday after Thanksgiving to have some leftovers for sandwiches. It was my first turkey and it turned out great! We had the Cullimore side over to share with us because it was a HUGE turkey!

We had another snowfall so the kids go to play out in the snow again. Our neighbors built a little sledding hill in their front yard and the kids had a lot of fun going down that over and over again (here is a video of Will and his friend Jesse going down)!

Last but not least, we introduced the tradition of Elf on the Shelf to the kids. Addie was a little unsure at first but she ended up having a lot of fun finding his new spot each morning and telling EVERYONE about our REAL elf! She named him Chimnick. The kids also made out their Christmas lists for Santa!

December posts to come soon!!
