More Yard Stuff!

Nicer weather (still cool though) meant we finally got some flowers blooming and some new things planted!! Here are some pictures of our beautiful tulips and gardens...they are still a work in progress but it was fun to have something to look at this spring!

We also planted some pots to put out front and they have been a nice addition to the yard!

Since the weather was starting to warm up, we decided to put our garden in the grow boxes we built last year! The kids loved helping us measure out the spacing and putting in the seeds. We planted zucchini, strawberries, roma and beefsteak tomatoes, carrots, green beans and corn! We are excited to see what kind of harvest we get this year...even if we only get a little bit, it will be fun and so tasty! We love fresh veggies from the garden!

Our last major yard project this year was finishing of the play area and putting in a sand box! Clay did such a great job with the wood border and building the sandbox. We had to drop the sand on the driveway in order to get the truck back and of course the kids went crazy in it! Who needs a box!

As soon as the sand was in, they broke out the sand toys and dug in! It's been a hit with the kids and their friends!
