Three Years Old

My little baby is growing up!!! Will turned three in October! I can't believe how fast time is going!! I loved the 2-3 yr old phase with him and wish I could freeze him just as he is! He's so darn cute.

Addie was out on fall break and Clay took the day off work so we spent the whole day together! Addie was probably just as excited as he was! The morning started off quite silly and crazy!

After breakfast, we let Will open his present from Addie. It was a Cars 2 Busy Book that came with a bunch of cars and a driving mat. They opened it up and played with it for a little while.

It was a beautiful day so we decided to get some lunch and eat it at the park. The kids played on the playset for a bit but somehow it turned into wrestling, tackling, tickling and hide and seek with Dad.

After lunch, we came home so Will could have a nap and we got a few things ready. He'd been wanting a pinata for his birthday and since we didn't really have many kids over for the family gathering, we decided to let a few of his friends come over and whack the pinata around. He loved putting the candy inside it.

His friends that came were Jesse, Collin, Avery, and Josie and then Bennett, Ava and Lily came as well. They had a fun time knocking the candy out of the pinata and they each went home with a bag full of treats!

We borrowed Grandma's bounce house for them to play in and I made some cupcakes for them to eat so we sang Happy Birthday and let him blow out the candles.

Some of his friends were so nice and brought him a present (even though I'd said they didn't need to) and so he got to open some presents! He got more Cars 2 die cast cars...which he loves, another train for his collection...which he also loves, and a Cars playdoh set which he will definitely love!

After he opened his presents, all the other kids were playing in the bounce house but Will just wanted to play with his new Cars on the patio. :) In fact, he was so made I pulled him away from his cars to take a picture of everyone together that he wouldn't even look at the camera!

I think he had a fun time with his friends and we've been told by a few of his friends parents that they want to go back to Will's birthday party! So I guess they had a good time too!

After dinner we came back home and he opened his present from us- a Lightening McQueen Remote Control car for his Geo Trax set. We thought it would be good to have two cars with remotes for when friends are over! He and Addie played with them for a little bit before it was time for bed and time for the birthday to come to a close!

Happy Birthday Will! We love you!
