Weekend with Cardin and Mitch

While Addie was on fall break, she spent a weekend down in St. George with Cardin and Mitch. She was so excited!!! Cardin was up here for a wedding on a Thursday so she stayed overnight and took Addie back down to St. George with her on Friday morning.

About an hour into the drive, Addie looked over and said, are we getting close? She thought that the red leaves in the mountains were the red rocks. :) That evening, she got to go to their Ward Halloween Party (She dressed up as Ariel) and carve a pumpkin with Mitch!

They had a very busy Saturday! Started out watching for Mitch and the basketball team in the Homecoming Parade. She raked in a TON of candy!

Later she convinced Cardin to take her swimming but the water was freezing so there wasn't much swimming going on!

That night they went to a pumpkin patch and got to do all sorts of fun things! Ride in a little train, find a needle in a haystack, go on a hay ride, see some animals and pick out a pumpkin!

She'd been asking me to paint our pumpkins for a few days so I told her to ask Aunt Cardin while she was down there- maybe she'd do it with her. Guess what they did late Saturday night?! Painted a pumpkin!

She went to church with them on Sunday and thought it was so funny they didn't have a primary. She was good and just sat with Cardin in her classes and colored. They spent Sunday evening at Mitch's parents house and Addie had a blast hanging out with all the big kids.

Monday morning, Grandma, Will and I headed down to St. George to pick her up. She had such a fun time with Cardin but was so excited to see me and Will. I'm not sure he shared the same excitement but they did have lots of shared giggles and laughs over the whoopie cushion Cardin bought her.

We had lunch and then needed to get back on the road to get home. Addie had such a great weekend with her aunt and uncle!

Thanks for having her! She can't wait to do it again!
