Temple Square

I love going down to Temple Square each Christmas to see the beautiful lights.  The past few years we haven't been able to make it down until the week of Christmas so it's quite crowded and cold but it's still a fun tradition!

We went down with my family again this year so that made it more fun for the kids...they love it when they get to be with their Grandparents, aunts and uncles.   It was lightly snowing while we were there so it made for some pretty pictures!  Will loved trying to make snowballs out of the tiny bit of snow on the ground.

We came home around 9:30 that night to our detectors going off.  We tried replacing batteries but they continued to go off and we discovered it was the carbon monoxide alarm so even though we didn't think there was really a problem, we decided to call the fire department to check it out.  We didn't want to take any risks.

We went to our neighbors house to wait and of course, the fire truck comes into the neighborhood with it's lights flashing (thank goodness no sirens)!  Clay met with the firefighters and they tested the entire house and finally determined that all was well and we had a faulty detector.  Once we disconnected it, the alarms finally stopped beeping and we could put the kids to bed (although, I was still a little worried!!).  Crazy end to the evening!
