4th of July Weekend

Our 4th of July weekend is always a crazy one and this year was no different!

It started on Thursday night with family pictures by Jamie Hammond. For Christmas, all the kids went in on purchasing a photography session with Jamie for my parents. The last family picture they have is really old (doesn't include Addie or Will!) Of course, it was raining and stormy all day but it did clear up and we were able to do the pictures. Here are a couple of them from her website- can't wait to see the rest!

After pictures, we all went out to dinner at Bonsai. When dinner was over, Uncle Carson decided to ask Addie if she wanted to sleep over at his house. I figured she'd probably say no like she has all the other times but thi
s time she wanted to go. So, she headed to Provo for a sleepover with Uncle Carson and Aunt Rachelle at 10pm on Thursday night! She was good but they had a hard time getting her to go to sleep...she finally fell asleep around 1:30 or 2 and slept till 9. Uncle Carson ended up on the air mattress and with very little sleep. I think it will be a long time before he asks her to sleepover again.

Friday started with breakfast out, then we brought Will home for a nap while Addie hung out with Grandpa & Grandma. Finally, we all met up at a park for some family time.

The big hit of the day was the Slip n Slide. We thought it was just going to be for the little kids so we didn't take our suits or a change of clothes- so Clay and I took video and pictures. Addie was a little hesitant at first but went down with her aunts and uncles a few times.

She enjoyed holding onto the hose and spraying the water.

By the end, she was going down on her own and having a fun time.

Here is a fun video I put together of some of the footage we took!
