We started out our Halloween over at Gaga's house. We enjoyed being outside in the beautiful weather and making homemade apple cider!! We picked the apples from the tree, washed them, cut them, ground them up and then pressed them with Grandpa Blackham's homemade apple press. It was fun. Will had fun throwing the apples OUT of the bucket and playing in the water!
We headed out trick-or-treating around 7. Carson & Rachelle, Ana, Adrian and Aidan and Gaga joined us for some of the trick-or-treating. Grandpa Rex stayed at the house and passed out our candy for us! Thanks Grandpa Rex! Outside we joined up with our neighbors, The Hornings, and the kids had a great time running from house to house.
Addie was ALL business this year. She was literally running so fast she would almost fall to get to the next house. She was cutting across driveways, jumping over plants, it was craziness. A few times, we had to tell her to slow down because she was already done with the next house before we had finished with the one we were at! Some people would just leave their candy on the porch, so if someone didn't answer- she'd either say- "their doorbell isn't working" or "they forgot to leave their candy out!" Such a silly girl.
I brought Will back just before 8 to get him all cleaned up from his sucker and ready for bed. He found a crayon and a piece of paper and started coloring on the paper! I had no idea he knew that was what you do with a crayon! Addie was done by about 8:15. She covered the same amount of area as last year- but twice as fast!
She got lots of candy- between the two of them, they filled up two pumpkin buckets! Some of our neighbors were super nice to Addie and gave her a whole package of Red Vines licorice!
It was a fun day and night....now on to the next event....Addie's birthday!!
