Family Activities

Since we decided to buy a house, we have been trying to be good and save as much money as we can before we move out of here. So, we've had to get a little more creative for fun things to do as a family.

Making something is always a fun thing for Addie. She loves sprinkles- so she loves to make anything that she can put sprinkles on. I don't really "bake" much- Clay is the one that likes to make fun things like cookies, donuts, brownies, etc. One night, we tried out a new recipe for sugar cookies- but Clay was really the one that was making the cookies, rolling/cutting them out. We took a couple to her teachers and friends and she made sure to tell them that she made them with her Daddy!



We decided to try out a Family Movie Night one Friday night. We got Alvin and the Chipmunks from Netflix, and some popcorn and licorice. They wanted to set their blankets up on the floor and lay on them but about two minutes into the movie, I ended up with both of them on my lap. After the licorice was gone, they were jumping around, climbing on us, playing, etc. Pretty much anything but watching the movie!


Unfortunately, the movie watching didn't last too long because both kids came down with fevers part way through and we ended up getting them to bed early! We'll keep trying the movie night and maybe as they get older, they'll actually watch the movie!
