Outings

With the cold weather and a lot of house showings, we've had to find some activities to keep us busy and out of the house! Sometimes we go by ourselves and sometimes we go with friends. Either way, we get out of the house and have some fun!

Some of the places we like to go:

Library
Will loves going to the library. He pulls a book off the shelves, looks at it for a few seconds, puts it down and moves on to another one. Thank goodness the board books he looks at are not in any kind of order (I do pick them up)! Addie likes to go to the library, get the little pencil and papers for writing down reference numbers and draw. She also likes to pick out some books and movies to check out. We love going to story time, but haven't been able to make it for awhile because it's always during Will's nap and/or school.





The Living Planet Aquarium
Or the "equarium" as Addie calls it. In the time since we started going there, this place has really evolved. It's still kind of wimpy as far as aquariums go and we are usually only there about an hour or less each time we go but the kids enjoy it. They recently added a new exhibit on South America and just last week opened a penguin exhibit! The kids (Will especially) love to run around and see the fish and other animals and it gets some energy and wiggles out!





The Mall
We haven't been to the mall as much this year as we have in years past (probably because the younger age group of kids make it difficult since they are still crawling or not the greatest at walking) but it's usually a good place to get some energy out. We take them to the play area and let them run around then head up to the food court to ride on the carousel and have some lunch.

McDonald's
Sometimes, we'll head over to McD's for some lunch or ice cream and to let them play in the playplace. Will just likes going up and down the little lip of play area to the tile floor. He thinks he's pretty cool stuff that he can walk up and down it. And, as you can see in this picture, they both LOVE ketchup!


Grandma's House
One of their favorite places to go is Grandma's house. They get so excited as soon as we pull into the driveway! There is always so much fun stuff to do there! Lots of books to read, play the piano, big yard to play in, rock band on the wii, lots of toys, crafts and art projects (the latest of which is painting wood projects like birdhouses). Recently, Grandma and Grandpa were out of town and I ran by their house to pick something up quick but just left Will out in the car while I ran in, when I came back out and got in the car to leave, he got so upset because he wanted to go in!
