4th of July

The 4th of July weekend is always a busy one for us and this year was no different!

We started it off swimming with friends on Friday afternoon.

Friday night, we headed up to the Oakley Rodeo. I have been attending the rodeo for as long as I can remember and it's always a fun time. Will was a bit on the ornery side but he loved seeing all the animals and even enjoyed the fireworks for a little bit.

We took it easy Saturday morning then met up with all the Cook extended family for lunch. While we were at lunch, a little bird came begging for food! It would only eat the food that Clay put into his mouth for him! Poor thing.

After lunch, we went over to an elementary school to do the giant slip n slide. While we were waiting for the water to get hooked up, we played some kick soccer. The slip n slide was fun- and refreshing on such a hot, sunny day. Even Will and I went down a few times at the end!

By the time we finished with the slip n slide, it was after 6 so Clay brought Will home to bed and Addie and I went with everyone to have dinner and play games/do fireworks.

A great ending to a fun and busy two days! Happy 4th of July!
