Before we'd even pulled out of the driveway (after what seemed like a million trips in and out for odd and end items), Addie announced she was hungry even though it hadn't been long since breakfast! Will was fast asleep before we even hit I-15. Too bad he only stayed asleep for around an hour. The kids were really good on the drive down- they just watched shows (Addie on the iPad and Will on my iPhone)! A quick stop for lunch and we arrived in St. George around 4.
After a quick tour of Mitch's parents house, the kids couldn't wait to get their swimsuits on and go swimming! After swimming, we went and did some shopping, Will had a little nap in the car and then home for a late dinner and a LATE bedtime!
The kids were up bright and early on Saturday morning (Addie woke Carson and Rachelle up by opening the blinds and showing them it WAS time to get up)! She couldn't wait to go swimming again so we were glad Uncle Carson was here to take her while we got ready for the shower. Of course, Will saw Addie swimming so he wanted in too- but neither lasted very long since the pool wasn't heated and the water was COLD!
The bridal shower was great- Cardin & Mitch got lots of great stuff and the food was good too.
After the shower, we all headed back to the pool for some swimming before it was time to pack up and leave. Addie was showing off her swimming skills and strokes (see video below) and Will just had fun throwing stuff in the pool and walking around in the little wading area. He wasn't a fan of actually swimming.
We got a late start for the drive home but the kids did great on the drive home too. It was a fun little trip even though it was quick! Thanks to Mitch's family for being such a great host!
Oh yeah- and while we were gone, Clay finished the patio out back! It was a total surprise to me!!! It's so nice to have it done though! Thanks to our Rex, Jared and Grayson for helping him get it done.
