Addie's school had their spring break the first two weeks of April. We started it off with Conference Weekend and lots of time with the family!
Saturday night we spent with the Cullimore girls making a craft. Will
and Addie enjoyed doing some painting too and they love spending time
with their little cousin James. Addie is a little mother with him!
Sunday we headed up to Gaga's house for some brunch and cousin time! Gaga was really on the ball this year and had 7 dozen eggs for the kids to dye for Easter! Thanks Gaga! It was so nice to have one less (and especially messy) thing to do at home! The kids loved it!
Monday was a recovery day...both kids were exhausted and both had a nap that day!!! That NEVER happens!
Tuesday we met up with friends down at Thanksgiving Point Farm Country. The weather was beautiful and the kids had a great time seeing the animals and being with friends. We sure are going to miss them when they move in a few weeks.
One of the days we went to the zoo with Grandma, Emily, Rachelle and James. It had been awhile since we went the last time and they had a great time showing everything to James.
The Blackham cousins invited us to go to Jungle Jim's with them. We'd never been there and they always love to be with the boys so we headed over. At first, they couldn't stop asking to play the games and do the token activities but we finally got them going on the rides and Will was HILARIOUS. The first ride they went on was really fast and he was not a big fan. He liked some of the other rides and finally got brave enough to try the bumper cars but the poor kid couldn't figure it out and just went around and around in circles the ENTIRE 3 or 4 minutes! He finally just put his head into the steering wheel and tried not to cry.
Addie was pretty proud of herself- she played the claw game and the prize she got was 100 tickets to cash in! She was thrilled!!
Here is a video of Will on the bumper cars for your viewing pleasure!
Some other activities we did included spending time outside when the weather was nice enough, going to the library, Grandma's house, a little shopping and swimming!
We ended spring break with James' 1st Birthday party! Happy Birthday to James!
