Gone Fishin'

We decided to take the kids fishing on Labor Day. We just went up to a little fishing pond not far from our house where we knew there would be plenty of fish to catch. Addie already had her Cinderella fishing pole she got for Christmas a few years back so we stopped and picked a Cars one up for Will.

We got everything all set up and Addie was casting her line like a pro in no time....Will needed a little help for the first little while but he eventually learned how to just hold it over the water and drop it in!




Shortly after we got there, Addie caught her first fish. They were just tiny little ones that we threw back but she was thrilled to have caught one!




Not long after that...Will caught his first fish! He didn't want to get very close to it. :)


Each of them caught about 5-7 fish and Clay tried to catch a few bigger ones but we were both kept pretty busy re-baiting the kids hooks and helping them get the caught fish off their line.

We ended up being there for almost 3 hours and they still didn't want to leave! It was such a fun way to spend the afternoon!
