Not sure if our two green pumpkins will turn orange before Halloween but I think the cornstalks and the green pumpkins really add to the front porch decor (the LARGE pumpkin came from a patch...)!

Goodbye Garden!!!
Our garden has been a wonderful thing to have this summer. We have loved having fresh beans, zucchini, carrots, tomatoes and corn to eat!!! Since our spring/early summer was so cold, we have continued to get veggies all September long and into October!!! It's been wonderful!

Now that cooler weather is settling in, we decided it was time to pull out the plants and dry out the cornstalks! Not before we got another plentiful harvest of beans and zucchini though (okay...the zucchini plant is still in because we have at least two more zucchini growing!!)
We have had so much zucchini! We've given away a ton and I've also got about 30 cups of shredded zucchini in my freezer....and still plenty more to shred! Addie loves helping me shred it!

We pulled out the tomato plant and kept it in the garage for a few weeks to ripen the last few green tomatoes!
Not sure if our two green pumpkins will turn orange before Halloween but I think the cornstalks and the green pumpkins really add to the front porch decor (the LARGE pumpkin came from a patch...)!
Can't wait for next year!!! Hopefully it will be even better!
