The temperature was a little colder than I was expecting/had planned so we weren't really dressed warm enough. We had a quick pizza picnic dinner before we started our walk around the lake.
Addie was a little nervous about being in the mountains, and was worried about bears and foxes but she managed to do just fine and I think she was skipping and singing by the end of the evening. Will loved every second of it...he thought the boardwalk was a bridge and just loved running around and taking everything in! He wanted to see lots of animals!!
We saw a few chipmunks and squirrels and then as we were walking around the far side of the lake, there was a moose up the hill from us. We discovered that there was a person kind of chasing it out of the trees so we let the kids get a peek and then continued on our way...not wanting to witness the guy get charged or someone get trampled because of his stupidity!
Addie collected leaves as we walked and we just enjoyed the clean, crisp air! Such a beautiful place to live so close to!
It was a great way to spend an evening as a family!! Fall is definitely here!

Looks like fun! And looks beautiful too! We may just have to take a trip up the canyon sometime here soon too.
