New Bike!

Addie got a new bike! We were really hoping we could wait till her birthday but the one she was riding was two and a half years old and was way too small for her (it's the size of bike we'd get for Will)! Not to mention, she'd worn a hole right through to the tube! Clay had to put a patch on the inside of the tire and on the tube!

So, we got her a new bike as an early birthday present. It's a little bit big for her but we knew she'd grow out of the mid-size one too quickly. She was a little nervous riding it at first because she couldn't reach the ground and it was a bit hard to get on and get going.

Clay showed her how to use the curb to get on and that gave her a little more confidence. We took it up to Maga's one Sunday and they went for a bike ride on the trails and she was cruising in no time.

Ever since school started, she's been wanting to ride her bike to school. The other morning, Clay went in to work a bit late so he could be an awesome dad and ride with her to school. It's about 2.5 miles and luckily, there is a back way so it's all residential street with not much traffic. She loved riding her bike to school and can't wait to do it again!
