Girl's Trip

Clay is the best husband and Dad! In September, he suggested that Addie and I take a girls trip to visit our friends and family in Cali.  I don't think he thought it would happen as quick as it did- but I jumped on the opportunity and booked tickets for Addie and I to go during her fall break. Beware...picture overload ahead!!!

I was excited to go but was a little bit sad to be leaving my boys (especially Sam) for 5 days!  It was a bit of a teary goodbye!  I knew they would do great and would have a good time with Clay aka Mr. Mom!

Addie and I arrived in Oakland late on Tuesday night.  Clayton, Brandi and Lexi picked us up and we headed back to their house.   Lexi was so excited to see Addie and everyone got to bed very late!!

The next morning, Clayton and Brandi were working so we took Lexi and drove down to Campbell to surprise our friends, The Pratt's!!  With some scheduling help from Jason, we just showed up at their front door and knocked!  Kristin was so surprised to see us standing at their front door!  It was such a fun surprise!

We had lunch and visited while the kids played and then headed over to pick Lily up from school.  She didn't know we were coming either so we had Addie surprise her at the school!  It was so cute! They were so happy to see each other.  Here is the video:

We spent the afternoon with them then drove back to Clayton & Brandi's for the evening.  It was so fun to spend time with them and see where they live.

On Thursday morning, Clayton and Brandi were working again so we got ready and headed down to Campbell.  We had lunch then checked Lily out of school early and headed to the beach in Santa Cruz!  It was a wild ride there...the girls were crazy hyper and loud!!

It was a beautiful day and we pretty much had the beach to ourselves.  Lexi wasn't a fan of the sand until it was time to leave.  She just stayed on the blanket or on our laps! Keira loved the sand though!!

The water was freezing but that didn't stop the girls from playing in it!

It was such a fun day and no one wanted to leave! We had a long drive back in traffic but it was worth it!

We spent the first half of the day on Friday in Oakland.  We drove over to the temple and walked around the temple grounds.  They were beautiful.  They have a rooftop garden with spectacular views of the city.

We stopped by Fenton's (in the movie Up) and had some ice cream, had lunch at In N Out and then Brandi took Addie and I to the BART so we could head down to Campbell to stay with Pratt's for a few days.

Will continue this in another post so it's not so long!
