Sam- 4 months

 

Sam turned 4 months old on Will's birthday!  He just keeps getting cuter and cuter!!

Just some quick little paragraphs with all the important stuff about him and then to the best part...pictures!! 

At 4 months, he weighed in at 14 lbs (32nd%) and was 26" long (80th%).  He is long but a little chunkier than his brother and sister (if you can call the 30th% chunky)! Of course, he has the Blackham large head (73rd%)!  

He is reaching and grasping some of his toys, loves putting everything in his mouth, smiling and cooing, laughing, found his feet and toes, doing so much better at playing happily when he's on his tummy,  sat in the Bumbo for the first time (he doesn't love it), he loves the bath, especially kicking his legs and splashing with his arms, he's getting a little more hair but still pretty bald!!  He is such a happy little guy!!  We love his smiles!!!

He is napping in the crib for all of his naps, still on his tummy! He gets put down asleep- usually because he falls asleep while he's having a bottle or sometimes we just have to hold him to sleep.  He usually takes 4 naps a day because the majority of his naps are short (or snaps as I call them)- around 30 min.   Nights are still hit and miss- for a lot of the month he was going 6-9 hrs and then another 2-3....but then he started waking more frequently at nights.  I think he was getting tired of being in the cradle and swaddled up!  He started sleeping a little better at night once he was in his crib.

He is no longer breastfeeding.  We are completely done with it and so he is 100% on Good Start Gentle.  Hoping to switch him to a generic brand soon now that we are buying more formula.  He usually takes 4 oz. about every 2-3 hrs! He's a growing boy!!
