Switching Things Up!!!

We originally thought it would be best to keep Sam and Will in the same room together.   Sam had been sleeping in our room since he was born and was getting too big for the cradle and I think were waking each other more than necessary.

Unfortunately, Will is not quiet when it comes to getting ready for bed and sometimes it takes him awhile to get to sleep.  So, I decided it was time for Sam to move to the crib in his own room and for Will to move in to Addie's room.

Here is the before and after of Sam's room....

For Addie and Will's room, we had to move a bunch of Addie's stuff out and then move her bed and dresser to a different wall. The setup in Addie's room is not ideal for two twin beds- but we did our best with the space we had!  This first picture is what the setup in her room used to look like (it's from when we first moved in)...but add a bunch of clutter and toys everywhere to get an idea of the recent before!

We brought Will's bed in and that pretty much took up the entire available space.  His "dresser" (it's a plastic set of drawers) went in the closet and the poor kid had flowers on the wall above his bed for the longest time!   He didn't complain once.

There was some adjusting to being in the same room and they both came out complaining the other one was "keeping them awake" or "talking" but after a few days, they stopped doing that.  Since Will's toys aren't in his room, he and his friends don't spend much time in there and so there hasn't been too much fighting about sharing space.

We finally made Will's space a little more "finished" and boyish and he loves it.

It will work for now and then when Sam is a little older we'll put the boys together.

It is easy with all boys, I can pretty much stick any of them together as needed. We've had about all combos. I remember once having all three older boys in one room! We have the "plastic drawer dresser" too!
