Since Sam still wasn't loving the carseat and the car, I decided to sit in the very back with him to try and keep our sanity on the drive. I am sure the drive was a little lonely for Clay as our chaffeur but it worked out pretty well and Sam was able to sleep in the car.
We arrived Friday afternoon, got all our stuff unloaded at the condo and then headed to Pizza Factory for dinner with Grandpa, Grandma, Cardin and Mitch!
Addie loved meeting Genie and the other characters after the play.
Sam was supposed to be sleeping but had been awake for most of the night, hanging out and smiling and being such a good boy for the total strangers we left him with! He had a short little nap right before we got there to get him and he woke up all smiles!
Saturday morning, the kids and Clay went swimming while Sam napped and then we headed over to the Dixie State football game to watch Mitch play! It was fun but SO hot.
We did a little shopping while the boys were at priesthood session and then had our usual post-priesthood session dinner. Unfortunately, Addie came down with a fever just before bed.
Sunday morning, Sam was up super early so I took him out walking so he wouldn't wake everyone else up. It was a beautiful day! We just took it easy the rest of the morning, watched a little conference and had omelettes and packed up the car.
We left to drive home around 2pm. We stopped in Nephi to get a bite to
eat but Addie wouldn't eat much. Luckily, we gave her a plastic bag
just in case because about 15 minutes later she threw up! That would
have been awful to have to drive home in!! Poor thing didn't feel good
at all and ended up sleeping the rest of the way home (never happens)!
Despite ending with a sick kid, it was a fun weekend!!!
