4th of July Weekend- Day 2

We started our Saturday off with a pancake breakfast with the neighbors on our street! Our kids pretty much slept through it (late night at the rodeo) but the food was great and so was the company! Hopefully we will make it a neighborhood tradition!

When I was younger, we used to spend the whole 4th of July weekend up at my Grandpa's cabin. The cabin was sold a few years ago so we don't go up there anymore but we still get together with my mom's side of the family for a "reunion" of sorts every 4th.

Saturday afternoon, we headed over to the park to meet up with the Cook side of the family for some fun. A few years back, we started doing a huge slip 'n slide at a park and it was a hit (video from 2009). We did it again this year at the same park and it was fun!! It didn't take Addie very long to get into it but she preferred going down on someone's lap or in the tube!







We took a break to play some kick soccer and on the playground then headed back to cool off on the slide!



This time, Will was there (he was home for a nap the first little bit) and he had a few rides on laps before he finally got comfortable enough to try it on his own!




It was a fun way to spend the afternoon! Thanks to everyone who helped put it together!
