We finally took Will to the zoo for the first time! Addie loved the zoo when she was this age so I've been meaning to take him up there but just hadn't had the chance!
We recruited Grandma to go with us! We thought by waiting till the end of September, it would be a little cooler but it was still pretty hot that day. Will enjoyed seeing the animals. I think we got the best reaction when he saw the monkeys.
We were able to see a lot of baby animals and they were all so cute! The baby elephant, Zuri, was especially cute and tiny!
We took a quick break to ride the carousel (didn't take Will- he was scared of it just sitting by it!) and had some lunch. Grandma gave Will a piece of carrot and celery to chew on! He didn't care much for the carrot but he loved the celery! He chewed it to shreds!
We finished off by visiting the giraffes - they also had a baby this year, and then cats. The Snow leopard had a baby and the Amur Tiger had three baby boy tigers. They are all so cute when they are little!
We headed out to leave and of course had to stop by the big marble water ball at the entrance. Will loved it- especially splashing around in the bottom part. He had red spots on his forehead from where his head kept hitting the ball when he'd try to lean over!
Thanks for taking us to the zoo Grandma!!! It was fun! Let's go again when it's a little cooler!
